Background Requirements: Employee must pass background check, drug screen and motor vehicle check. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


Warehouse Picker builds delivery pallets for customer orders. Receives daily orders from shift supervisor and/or manager to pick product from a pick ticket.

Utilizes mechanical pallet jack to pull/pick orders throughout the entire warehouse according to the corresponding ticket. Responsible for correcting any picking errors including missing items.

Must be able to pick 150 cases per hour or 4-5 pallets/order, whichever is greater. Must be able to lift product(s) ranging from 15 to 40 pounds on a constant bases. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, pull and reach throughout the duration of the assigned shift.

 

Places pallet jack in assigned location for quality control. Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards. Performs cleaning of equipment in work areas. Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.

    1st Shift Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. to completion of daily orders

     

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Forklift Operator a plus.
